a mattress offering this penance for the Suffering Souls in Purgatory.
Above her bed (as can be seen in the picture) are images of the
Sacred Heart of Jesus whom St. Gemma greatly adored, and an image
of Ven. Pius IX “The Scourge of Liberalism” who Gemma deeply
reverenced. |
